Well hello there!
Sorry I have been M.I.A lately. It seems the flu bug has hit my darling daughter hard and then there's the itsy bitsy bit of snow we just had....
Oh I don't mean the few inches from the last post
NO
I mean the mamma jamma of all snow storms
Overnight we were blasted with nearly 30" of snow.
I knew it was bad when only after a few hours it looked like this
This is after round #1 of shoveling
A short time later Hubby and I went outside to tackle shoveling a second time
Notice the back of my car
The next day the snow was blocking our front door. But My husband took it in stride....
He put on a straw hat from a luau party we had a while ago and as he shoveled he had visions of warmer weather...
Our dog Max didn't have the same positive outlook
It has been a crazy four days. Schools have been cancelled, snow bogged streets and major highways have stranded motorists; mountains of ice have made driving treacherous to say the least.
Which brings me to something that has been on my mind
I am NOT a violent person
I tend to look for the good in everyone
In fact, I have turned the other cheek so many times I have gotten dizzy
so for me to write the following is a bit hard
Here goes.......
If I EVER bump into this chick
Mother Nature
I'm going to punch her in the nose!
What a funny post ! Here you are buried but anyone reading this will crack up ( Myself included ) between you and your husband :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Debra, gotta laugh or else we'd cry!
DeleteWhat beautiful pictures! Easy for me to say hmmmm? I hope your daughter gets well soon, we just all got over about 2 weeks of it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ma that flu bug is insane!
DeletePoor little Max is kind of close to the ground. You could lose him in a snowbank lol.
ReplyDeleteHi Delores, Max only likes the snow when my Son is out there with him. He did kind of dissapear in the snow...thank God he's black or else we might not see him til spring!
DeleteI love that pic of Max. He looks so cute. I am glad you are all safe.
ReplyDeleteHi Beth, thanks. You have probably seen your share of snow where you live too!
DeleteThe first two pictures are so beautiful, but I know what a hard time you must have been having. I was beginning to get worried about you yesterday! I love the straw hat in all this snow!!! We have not gotten more than an inch all season, but are getting some tomorrow at lunchtime. Stay inside and warm!!! P.S. time for a nose job for mother Nature...
ReplyDeleteHi Ginny, I hope you don't get a lot of snow. I am soooo ready for spring.
DeleteOh, the 3rd photo was scary. Must have been awful wind blowing around. Hope your husband finds a diff. hat.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, he made so many people smile by just wearing that silly hat. Who knows...maybe he'll start a new fashion trend! ;0)
ReplyDeleteWow! I thought something was up when I didn't see a post from you for a while. I love the pictures and your sense of humor. Keep safe and warm.
ReplyDeleteHi Barb, glad you liked it :0)
Deletehaha i know how you could wanna punch her!!! hope all of it melts really soon--hang in there---spring is coming :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn, spring can't happen soon enough for me!
DeleteYour husband gets the prize for the best expression of a sense of humor. I just hope he had a stocking hat or ear muffs under that straw hat. Brrrr
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine that much snow at once. I hope you kept your power.
Hi Sally,
DeleteYes, he knows how to make me laugh for sure....no we didn't lose power thank God!
Mother nature blames all the bad weather on Father weather........lol
ReplyDeleteHi Jo-Anne! LOL!!!!
DeleteStay warm and healthy and don't punch that cute old lady!
ReplyDeleteIt has been a long long time but I am slowly getting back in the "game" or blogging world. Looks as if you all got the snow we dream of down here in El Paso but never get. Hope all is well with you and yours and you can come by and visit me at my blog if you remember how to get there. I will keep an eye out for you.
ReplyDeleteOh GIRL! that so is not okey :(. It always looks so pretty but always glad that we just have rain.
