Hi all!
We were away on our yearly camping trip.
"Don't call it camping Joanne, we were in a cabin! We had a bathroom and an AC for crying out loud!" My husband interrupts my blogging.
"OK, " I say. "Did we see snakes?"source
"Yes."
"Did I not scream at least three times a day because a bug got in my ear, or up my nose ?"
"Yes."
" Did I nearly hyperventilate when seeing the mountain that we had to climb on our hike?" source
"Yesiree."
"Did I mutter curse words under my breath when the climb seemed endless as I dragged my butt over fallen trees, creepy spiders and jumpy frogs?"
"That you did."
"Did every stinkin' mosquito in the state of New York make a meal of me?"source
"Yep."
"Then frankly my dear, I don't give a darn what you want to call it....I'm calling it CAMPING!"
I like to tent, but my husband always gets eaten alive by every bug within a ten mile radius - so we "camp" inside too. :) Hope you had a little fun on your trip.
ReplyDeleteHi Tyrean There were definitely lots of laughs!
DeleteLOL!! I bet you all had fun though!
ReplyDeleteHi Beth, yes we did have fun.
DeleteThat's too cute! On Saturday I will staying in a cabin for a week.
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie don't forget the bug spray! Lol!
DeleteOh my!! Really, I never did understand camping. All it seems to do is make people miserable, and I want luxury and comfort for my vacation. My mom always used to say that civilization worked for so many centuries to get air conditioning and comfort, they they all want to go back into nature! I LOVE nature and photographing it, bit no more than a few hours.
ReplyDeleteHi Ginny, it does seem silly at times...but waking up to that beautiful lake and sounds of birds singing is worth it....I just wish there were no mosquitoes and gnats! :0)
DeleteI am a "soft camper" Dont mind living in a tent and sleeping in a sleeping bag, but I need close access to toilets and showers.
ReplyDeleteI think what you did can certainly be called camping
Heeheehee! Sounds 'fun' for everyone. =D
ReplyDeleteI am a comfort freak but I also love nature. I try and balance the two. It sounds like you enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteCabin camping, the only way to go!
ReplyDeleteSounds like camping hell to me.
