Its cold .
It's bleak.
The wind howls at night and my body begs to stay in bed under the covers 'til spring.
Winter has always made me feel this way. One of the ways I have tried to push away the winter blues is to have something to look forward to. When our Children were babies the one thing I would look forward to was long long showers. I'd count the minutes until Hubster would get home so that I could let the water wash away the day's stress. Whether it's designing in your mind's eye the way your spring garden may look or perhaps a day trip with with someone special. It could be something as simple as looking forward to some alone time with a hot cup of cocoa and a book.
What am I looking forward to?
Tomorrow when the kids go back to school my Hubby and I are going to take a nice long walk and take our dog Max with us.

I get the blahs too. I'm looking forward to summer!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee weather.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to spring and the garden. Winter has been relatively mild so far, but today we are due for an 'arctic blast.' I find that the gray skies get me down, especially after the warmth and twinkly lights of Christmas. Hot chocolate is my treat to myself!

Winter break is over for me:( I got back to work yesterday and already looking forward to summer break... or at least spring break... Heck, I'll even take a snow day!!!
ReplyDeleteStay warm!
I am looking forward to one month this new year without a doctor appointment in it.
ReplyDeleteI think the walk with your husband sounds wonderful. Enjoy every minute of time spent with him, store the memories in your mind for when you are older. My memories sustain me.
Your walk sounds wonderful. I am looking forward to babysitting a dog named Abu this week. It is always a treat when he is here and mixes it up.

Happy New Year! I probably shouldn't say this, but I'm looking forward to snow! New York hasn't had any since October!
ReplyDeletenot a fan of cold but love the idea of cocoa and a book
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. I find it hard to get out of bed, all snuggled in my blankets when it's cha cha chilly outside!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Joanne!
I'm looking forward to... dancing classes tomorrow night. Finally! :-D
ReplyDeleteI grew up in New England, so the Georgia winters don't bother me. I actually miss the snow. Er, let me be more specific...I miss the snow once in awhile, sometimes, when I'm home and know I wouldn't have to drive in it. LOL I'm not big on the extremes of cold or heat. Give me a 65-70 degree spring or fall day. . .mmmmm....on a blanket at the park with a good book. :)
ReplyDeleteI love you're going to take a walk together! I so want to do that with my hubs!
