I think I suffer from a bit of seasonal affective disorder. S.A.D.
Every fall as the trees burst forth with vibrant color and the heat of summer is replaced with the crisp chill in the air, I feel
YUCKY!!!
I can't help it. I miss my springtime and I miss the fun of summer. I hate the fact that the sun sets so early and that my flip flops have to be replaced with socks and sneakers/shoes.
My toesies were just not meant to be confined!!!

My husband thinks that I waste too much time hating autumn when I should appreciate the the awesomeness of Fall. I do try...
"Oooo look at the pretty colors of the leaves."

"Hot Chocolate. yum"

"Leaves....Oooo"

OK, I tried.
Seriously I really do try, but instead of appreciating Fall, I keep feeling envious of my bloggy buddies who live in warm states like Florida and California. I even envy my bloggy pals in Australia who are now enjoying springtime in their part of the world.
I won't give up. I am off to find my bliss in autumn ...will I find it? I hope so....but I think I will play the lottery just in case. If I hit the number then you guys in Florida watch out...I'll be down there in no time in my brand new...

Now, where's my darn sweater?! UGH
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you
ReplyDeleteThanks! Nice knowing that someone is pulling for me! LOL!
DeleteI have to tell you...everytime I scan my reading list and see that ridiculous machine dancing around I get the giggles.
DeleteI love the fall of the year. Especially this year since the summer was so hot and dry. I hope you find your sweater. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHi Beth, I know you are definitely grateful for fall you had a very hard hot summer. I do wish we had just three seasons...spring summer fall... i could enjoy fall if i knew spring came right after....that would be perfect.
DeleteI know how you feel. I do have a sweater that I love and that takes the sting out of it a bit. I do LOVE fall, BUT it's what comes after that I don't.:(
ReplyDeleteHi Ma, yes...snow yuck!
DeleteI think you do have a point especially living in the north. I used to live in the north and understand your feelings. It does make a difference living in Texas. After a hot summer in Texas we look forward to the cooler Fall temperatures. Even though we have a little color change on the trees I do miss the brilliance of the colors in the north. I guess you have to focus on the things that make you happy at that time of the year.
ReplyDeleteHi Barb, I guess you are right we didn't really get a scorching summer this year. I wish I was a snow bird and travel whenever it gets too cold or hot...oh to dream :0)
ReplyDeleteWe have had such a hot summer here in San Diego that I am really looking forward to some cold. I realize it is not the same. My sweaters are in a vacuum bag deep in the closet.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could send you some of my springtime. I do like Autumn too. Not winter though. Give me warmth and sunshine any day over rain and cold
ReplyDeleteI love fall, but I hate winter! I get uninspired and a little blue also. Let's just hope it's a mild winter and spring hurries up!
ReplyDeleteAs I sit here in my snuggle at my parents house wondering can anyone be this cheap to keep it this cool in the house! LOL
