Sorry there was no Art on this Blog yesterday
Well, it happened again....
The people who work in the Emergency Room should be on a first name basis with us.
we know where the best snack machines are

and the cleanest bathrooms.

now if we could only figure out how to change the channel on the Waiting room TV.......but I digress.
As you know My mom fell and was badly hurt in Sept. and thank God she is a trooper. Her Achilles tendon had detached and recently she was able to take off the huge boot and wear sneakers...(something she hates, because according to her they are not ladylike...ugh)
Anyhoo Yesterday the therapist did not like the way her leg looked....
Off to the doctor...the Nurse practitioner wanted us to go to ER
then off to the ER where a vascular surgeon would take a look.
There is nothing like a Friday in the ER. It was jammed packed with injuries and heart related emergencies...God Bless those Nurses and Doctors. How they keep their composure is beyond me.
Finally, my Mom was seen by the Doctor and He didn't seemed worried , but he wanted to run some tests...just in case.
As we waited for what seemed like forever for tests and results...a man who was waiting for tests/results too sat across from us.
He looked at me and my Mom and said...
"It's hard isn't it? Don't worry this weekend is going to be great."
Now, I know he was probably trying to cheer us up or maybe he was talking about the weather, .....but since I'm getting baptized this weekend It kind of made me smile and answer...
"Yes, It will be."
A few minutes later the Doctor came over and said there were no blood clots that they could see in my moms leg.
Thank You God for your blessings
and for the sweet words of someone who took the time to care

Oh, God is good. I am so excited that you are being baptized this weekend. You are on a wonderful journey in the Christian life, and how good your mom's test shows she is healing.
ReplyDeleteYes, God is Good! Thank you for your sweet comment.
DeleteThank you for sharing this wonderful testimony, Joanne! Wonderful how God sends us sweet confirmations and assurances at just the right times. This really lifted me up today. Thanks! :-) God bless you on your baptism, dear friend!
ReplyDeleteAwww I am so glad this lifted your spirits!
DeleteI'm so sorry you are making these trips, but I totally understand. Since my fall last month, I've been in the emergency room four times. I can relate. Too bad we aren't at the same hospital, we could visit.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your mom is ok on this last visit.
Blessings on this weekend and your baptism.
LOL! Yes too bad it wasn't the same hospital! We could gorge ourselves with chips and ding dongs from the vending machines! Thank You for your good wishes!
DeleteOh my gosh! I am so sorry about all this! I have had experience with weekend visits to the E.R., it is total chaos. So glad your mom is O.K., though. How wonderful about your baptism! And I don't think your mom's good report is a coincidence on this of all weekends. Just something to let you know that God is with you...It's Ginny, but I had to sign I.n with an old password, that's why my name says something else!
ReplyDeleteWhat is it about Fridays and saturdays in ERs? complete chaos is right! Thanks Gionny for your sweet comments. I am very excited about tomorrow.
DeleteGreat news about your mom. I spent so much time in the emergency room with my husband and the kindness and caring of strangers never failed to amaze me.
ReplyDeleteI am very happy you are being baptized this weekend.
His comment made me feel so good. after a long hard day there it was so nice to hear that.
DeleteSo glad your mom is okay! Trips to the Emergency Room are always stressful. Have a great weekend.

Thanks Claudia, The ER was maddening! How do people that work there do it?
DeleteIsn't it amazing how everything we need is presented to us?
ReplyDeleteglad all is well...and congrats on the baptism...
No such thing as coincidence, I always say. Angels come in all shapes and sizes and just when we need them. Glad Mom is ok.
ReplyDeleteSo glad your Mom is okay. I love it when someone makes an effort to make you smile. Thinking of you on such a special weekend. Happy baptism!
ReplyDeleteSo glad your Mom did not have any blood clots...hope the Baptizing goes well
ReplyDeleteNo blood clots would automatically make it a great weekend! God bless you tomorrow, and for always!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear your mom is okay.
ReplyDeleteToday's the big day!
This was a lovely post. Glad your mon's ok.
ReplyDeleteThat's a relief. I'm very glad for you and your mom, Joanne. May the blessings keep heading your way.

I'm so glad that your mom is okay. Life is precious our minutes seem few and yet so meaningful. Congratulations on your baptism - Such a glory day! My mother-in-law fell twice recently and has to be patient while she heals. Praise God nothing broke! Injuries like that are so inconvienten and painful!
