Sorry for the delay of this post. I hurt my back and have been walking around like Frankenstein today.
Would you believe that I hurt it when I saved someone from a burning building?
nope?
Would you believe that I hurt it while training for the Olympics?
nope?
Would you believe that I hurt it while on a secret mission as an agent for the United States government?
nope?
or even beating up a mugger?
nope?
Would you believe I just twisted wrong and then went about my day with an achy back then late last night I fell asleep while watching TV and when I awoke I was in the worst pain?
Yes.
Yep...I can't fool you.
So today I want to write a short post about ...headbands.
This fad is not new by all means.
I love them in almost all their forms. Well, except the plastic headbands; I could never wear them without getting a headache.
Look at Clara Bow wearing a cool headband with her awesome bobbed hair

The forties look also included this cool headband complete with pin.

Wide headband held back sexy 60's hair
Brigitte Bardot
source
a twisted turban version
Gotta love the flowered ones
source
Short hair looks so adorable with a head band
source
A head band hair piece in Bride's hair
source
The newer fad and my favorite has to be flowered head bands for babies. I wish they had these when my daughter was born.
How cute is this little darlin'

This bow is bigger than the baby! SOOOOO cute!

How sweet!

Even my Blogger buddy Mindy over at In the Loop makes the coolest headbands! Look here
In my twenties I wore head bands, but I like the newer versions much better. Did you ever wear this fad?
Now if you'll excuse me I am going to take a couple of Advil and call it a night. If that doesn't work then I'll use the old tried and true hot water bottle. OOOO The pain!..Good Gosh whats next? Am I going to sneeze and burst a kidney? Sheeze!

I always loved putting headbands on my dd when she was a baby, but she always pulled them off! To this day, she won't put her hair up at all and always wears it down.
ReplyDeleteNo headbands for me or my daughter.
ReplyDeleteI never wore headbands, just scarves around the neck with a pretty pin on them.
ReplyDeleteForgot to say that I hope your back is better soon.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry you hurt your back. I hope you get better quickly. I love headbands but not on me. The flowered ones are adorable on babies.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your pain..weird how little things can hurt it. I like the headband history
ReplyDeleteAWWWWW, I'm SO sorry you hurt your back! I hope it get's better quick!!! I wore headbands as a schoolgirl, it was not a pretty sight, though. It was mainly to hold back thick and unruly hair.
