Soooooo, after four phones calls
One lady that kept interrupting me
One dropped call (I want to think it was dropped and not that they hung up on me)
The mystery of the missing forty dollars was solved, and the money was credited to my account
All was well in the world until later today when a cashier at Kmart neglected to place a ten dollar item ( that was already paid for) in my bag. UGH!!!!!
Anyhoo, You are not here today to read about my financial misadventures
You are here to see some art.
OK, If you know me then you know that I am a Disney freak!
My favorite place in the whole wide world is Disney World and I get totally into it. Yep, I buy into the fantasy. I believe that the teenager with the blonde up-do is really Cinderella, and I giggle with delight when Mickey comes around to sign autographs.
I also love Tilt shift videos.
If you don't know what that is ...It's when a photographer adds a special lens to his camera that makes the objects of the video or photo look like miniatures. In fact the first time I saw a tilt shift video I could have sworn it was a stop motion film about miniatures!
So now I give you......
A Model Day at Magic Kingdom (Disney World)
"The exclusive video first featured on The Disney Parks Blog was created from a series of photos snapped inside the Magic Kingdom Park. Its a sunrise-to-sunset story told without words." ~You Tube Description

Wasn't that the cutest thing? Didn't it look like miniatures?
Have a magical weekend everyone!!!
Blessings, Joanne
I like reading about other peoples misadventures makes me feel better about my misadventures....lol
ReplyDeleteI had a Goodwill misadventure, I think. I don't want to look at the receipt and find out for sure. I'm trying to put it out of my head (obvioulsy not doing well at it.) The video is adorable. I had never heard of tilt shift videos. Fun to watch, especially of Disney. We used to go all the time, now it's odd to say it but I haven't been in about 18 years and I'm afraid it will have changed too much. My daughter and I keep talking about going. I think about it all the time. It is one of my happy places. Lots of good memories there.

I'm so glad they finally replaced the $40, what a pain! I hope you went back to Kmart for the item. I'm sorry my dear :(.
ReplyDeleteThat was such a cool video. I so love how they put it together!
Joanne!
ReplyDeleteHaving grown up in Los Angeles, our summer treat was to drive into Anaheim to make a week out of going to Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, and then drive down further south to San Diego. But the magic of Disneyland was my father's muse, then later became mine, as I love miniatures and animation.
THANK YOU for coming to visit today! Enjoy your weekend! Anita
They do look like miniatures...and it sure doesn't
ReplyDeleteseem crowded at Disneyland that day! I second Joanne...I grew up in So Cal too and my aunt and uncle lived and still do live right by Disneyland! We used to drive by lots of cow farms to get there! I am aging myself!
So that is how it is done! I saw one on a blog not too long ago, and puzzled over it for days! That is so cool.
