Hi everyone and welcome !
As much as I like the A to Z challenge I have to admit when I got to the letter "N" I was saying to myself
"Self, this is getting hard."
When the letter Q came around I said "UGH!!!!!!What to write what to write".
When the letter X came around I said "Crud...I can do no more!"
When Z came around I said " Zippity Do Daaaaa!"
But I am glad I did it!
Anyhoo, back to Fashion Wednesday...
Have you noticed that false eyelashes are really "IN"
They were really in in the 60's...remember Twiggy?
Goldie Hawn
Cher
For the Longest time only actresses wore them, but more and more I see women opting to go the false eyelash route.
If you have a Teenage girl then you have probably seen the Hunger games.... And if you have seen the Hunger Games you have also notice the false eyelashes that the female Actors wore. These are called Paperself Lashes and they are made from delicately cut out paper.
Cool Butterfly Look

Too weird for me, it looks like they have an eyelash disease!
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! Ginny you are too funny! I feel kind of the same way, but I do like the butterfly one that "Katniss" wore in the movie the Hunger games. It sort of looks like the butterfly here. The others are a bit wierd, but you know what? I think if I were younger like maybe late teens early twenties I might have tried them!
DeleteThey are kinda weird, but I could see a younger person wearing them on a special occasion. I have noticed more fake eyelashes on people, too, now that you mention it.
ReplyDeleteI have seem some so long that I wonder how the young hirls see at all! LOL
DeleteI think they look fabulous but I can't imagine an old fart like myself wearing them. Oh to be young again.
ReplyDeleteYou and me both! Imagine the looks at the Grocery store!
DeleteNO!! I don't like it. Although if I was 18 again I might have a different opinion. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean...I can't imagine a 40+ woman wearing this to work.
DeleteNo, I don't think I do like the look. It is interesting though, and I would be fascinated with seeing it, but still not like it much. I've thought of using something to grow my eyelashes, but now I would be happy with getting my eyebrows back. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou know whats funny I have been noticing that my eyebrows are thining out too...Whats up with that? That one took me completely by surprise!
DeleteThe butterfly ones are beautful - but I would never wear them unless coerced. I'm kind a plain jane kind of person. My kids did were sparkly jeweled fake eyelashes for one of their dance competitions . . . and thought they were fun, but they don't wear stuff like that for anything else.
ReplyDeleteI Think the make up was my daughter's favorite part of Dance recitals. :O)
DeleteI have never heard of these eyelashes but I am out of the loop....I always have a time thinking of something to blog about...you did a great job though
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim, I really appreciate that. I don't know if I am just too tired, but I have had a hard time thinking up blogs posts lately. I tend to fall asleep at the computer! LOL!
Deletewow--yes i remember wearing them all the time as a teenager--i don't know how it did it--that was the hardest thing about my daughter's stage make-up for dance--those darn eyelashes--i haven't heard of these paper ones--interesting!
ReplyDeletei love the creativity of false lashes and the way the lashes
ReplyDeletetotally transform your look.
