Yea! It's Wednesday!
Time for a bit of fashion.....
Today it's all about the "Braid"
Remember when wearing braids meant this?
Melissa Gilbert as Laura Ingalls
Well the braid is back...big time. Every morning my daughter walks downstairs and her hair always looks lovely. She can make just about any braid there is.... and ever since watching the movie "The Hunger Games" she has been able to copy the lead actress' braid too.

The great thing about this trend is that women of a certain age...ahem.... can wear some of these styles too! Which one is your favorite?

The Dutch braid updo! So elegant and feminine!
ReplyDeletemakes me wish I had long hair, they are gorgeous styles
ReplyDeleteI've never been good at braiding, but thy are all so lovely. I like the fishtail one.
ReplyDeleteThey all look very nice, even the original, however my hair is kept uber short and is uber curly...I would need a magnifying glass to do a braid.
ReplyDeleteI like them all. I wore braids a lot when I was a child.
ReplyDeleteHow fancy can braids get? they are gorgeous...the blond one was my fav
ReplyDeletei wish i could do some of these but All I know how to do is a straight flat braid
ReplyDeleteThey are so pretty. I wore braids as a child and even as an adult!
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne, the braids are all so cute, but Taylor Swift is just stunning. Oh, how would it be to be that darling? I love Katniss's braid also. So fun that your daughter is so talented. I was never good at doing fancy braids. I use to try to French braid my girls hair. I was so slow at it that they got tired of sitting still for me. Finally gave up and just did other things.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jann
I love them all. I'm always the one to braid the little girls' hair at any family gathering. I do have to say that Taylor Swift's braids really do intrigue me.
ReplyDeleteI love braids, but doing braid styles are really too much effort for me, since I'm a wash and wear kind of girl. ;-P
