Ladies and Gentlemen....are you ready?
I'm trying to prepare.
I will probably wear some camouflage.
source
I'll even paint under my eyes like those football players do
source
I'm an expert at bobbing and weavin'
source
When I have to I can run like the wind.....
source
And I think I can handle my own with an adversary.
source
I have been practicing the art of distraction and will definitely practice the tag team strategy
source
Yep, I'm ready for battle
source
On Thursday I'll begin my Christmas shopping with my Sister-in-Law
source
And you know what they say...When the going gets tough...one will pretend to fall and sprain her ankle to distract shoppers while the other buys the last faux cashmere sweater that's 50% off!
Aww who am I kidding...chances are we will give up within the first ten minutes, sit at Starbucks and have coffee and a giant cookie.
Best of luck! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWe got a lot of ours accomplished this past weekend. I'd love to believe we won't have to go back out for anything... we'll see. ;-)
That is funny, so you are kind of like tag team shoppers! Why not wait till Black Friday? Oh, but this year, I think black Friday starts Thursday night! It gets earlier every year! Now I will be thinking about Private Benjamin all night, I loved that movie!!!
ReplyDeleteOh don't remind me, I still have to start mine but before Christmas I still have to shop for at least 2 birthdays. Thank goodness for gift cards
ReplyDeleteGreat post. You clever girl....loving the pretend sprained ankle, will have to go Christmas shopping with you! lol Enjoy your day out with SIL. Diane
ReplyDeleteThe stores are already getting crazy. We finished up two weeks ago. I hate crowds and I firmly believe in staying out of the stores (except for groceries of course) until after Christmas now. Too many germs. I want to stay healthy for the big day.
ReplyDeleteThat was funny. Thank you for making me smile. I have all of my shopping done and wrapped all except for two birthdays, one on Dec 23 and the other Dec 24 which I will give money too.
ReplyDeleteHave fun!!
This was a good description of Christmas shopping! It made me smile!!! Best of Luck
ReplyDeleteThat guy is really good at distraction.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your shopping. I NEVER go out in the crowds if I can help it. It makes me grumpy.
me me i want to come starbucks and big cookie sound wonderful
ReplyDeleteStarbucks and cookies sound great! I like your stategy for shopping! Good luck and I hope you get it all done quickly!
ReplyDeleteI used to love to shop but more and more I try and shop on line to avoid going to the mall. Starbucks and a cookie sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteCan I come with you? That sounds so fun. I will send you my Rocky theme song to borrow for the day! Shop til you drop!!
ReplyDeleteI don't want to think about shopping! I go to Starbuck with you though.
ReplyDeleteHilarious post, especially the "adversary" knocking down the live opponent.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for wonderful humour.
Oh I don't envy you girl. I always shop during the week and just have such a fun time. Last weekend my sister was up and we went shopping quite a bit. Holy Moly, everywhere was packed. Now I know why I shop during the week. I use to love to shop the day after Thanksgiving. Now this old lady just decorates. Decided that there is nothing I need that bad. Have fun and - CHARGE! Loved all of the pics! Too cute!!
