Artsy Fartsy Friday~~~Gardening...Fairy Style!

Hi everyone!!!!

On Fridays I get so excited and today is  no exception. Last year I posted a post about fairy houses. I love them! So since we are in the middle of Spring; I wanted to post about a trend in gardening......

                                     Fairy Gardens!!!!

Yes! and there are Garden Centers that have whole sections dedicated just for Fairy gardens. Why, you ask?

Well how else will you get one of these to come and take up residence in your backyard?

It's sort of like that Movie Field of Dreams

                         "If
                                 you
                                      build
                                               it
         source
                                                           they
                                                                  will
                                                                      come."

I have found three videos that will help you start your very own fairy sanctuary. This is a great activity to do with kids and perfect for apartment living. All you need is a sunny window and a small container and voila!
To me these are all like little pieces of art. They are beautifully whimsical and anyone can make one!

And the more comfortable you make the garden....the more they will want to stay

               ...and who wouldn't want that?

I hope you enjoyed the videos. As soon as I post this I will be off to buy the materials needed for our very own fairy garden. Let's see...I'll need potting soil, stones, teeny tiny bench, tables....and fairy dust.

That last one might be hard to find.

Have an AWESOME Weekend!!!!!!!!

  4. Love fairies, and for some unknown reason, they have been figuring heavily in my art lately. I might just have to think about setting up a spot in my garden too

  6. If I had a garden (and, well, a house), I'd want a fairy garden. They're so playful and magical.

Blessings for a wonderful Mother's Day weekend, a nap included.

  7. So Cute, Love fairys. Im making a fairy costume for the Community Fun Day Chairty event were helping out with. Will post some pics, though it's not until June 16th.

I have been looking at so many pics on line, i did not realise that they have fairy fairs and events that you can go too. Looks like alot of fun.

    Hope all is going well,

  10. I plan to make a little fairy garden this summer. We already have the fairy entrance to our Catalpa tree; we made it earlier this spring.
