I love to dance, but unfortunately I never took lessons. I love to watch others dance. Watching a classical ballet always puts me in a sort of blissful trance. I dance in my head right along with them and I am transformed into that little girl that pretended to dance on point. When I come back to reality am more like Lucy Riccardo doing ballet. and you know what? It's all good. Dance away if you want to!
Last year for my birthday my husband gave me the ipod nano. I'm not much into things like that but I fell in love with it. When I am doing chores that I absolutely hate ...on comes the nano and more often then not you will see me dancing in the kitchen as I am mopping the floor or washing the dishes!
I love to dance also, and I am not very good at it. I embarrass my children by dancing to the music in the grocery store.
ReplyDeleteSo funny! And remember the chocolate factory? When I was a really little girl, after they put me to bed I would sneak halfway down the steps and watch I Love Lucy while the grownups had it on. I don't think they ever saw me!
ReplyDeleteI have always loved to dance and yeah I am not much of a dancer but when I dance I always just imagine I am in my loungeroom dancing with not one watching.........lol
ReplyDeleteI love this Lucy scene. I would look just like her too. You're right, Joanne, it's all good. My motto: Life's hard. Eat chocolate and dance it off!

I have een known to dance in the office, in the car, in the kitchen and even subtly in the supermarket. All while my music is playing either loud or in my ears. Love my iPod
ReplyDeleteI can't dance either, but my son is getting married in a month and I'm gonna bust some moves! (or my butt!) lol I love listening to my MP3 player while mowing and weeeding- helps make the boring chores more pleasant.
ReplyDeleteKeep dancing, friend!
That was hilarious! I love watching people dance.
ReplyDeleteI am not much of a dancer but I used to love it. I have an iPod Nano which I have hooked a Bose speaker. I have several thousand songs on it. I love it.
ReplyDeleteReplace ballet with Hip Hop and this post could have been written by me. I am really good dancer but not taking formal classes is something I regret to this day.
ReplyDeleteLORD I love her, she was a comedic genius! I'm not much of a dancer anymore does Tap & Jazz when I was young count? lol
