Today it's all about the letter "W". I couldn't think of just one thing so I combined a few. Hope you like the post
Take a look at this Ferris wheel...It is the reason why I am scared to death of all Ferris wheels! ...and what's weird is that I can ride on just about any roller coaster, but I will CRY if I get on a Ferris wheel! You see the cars in the middle of the wheel? Well, those were actually on a track and moved down and swung out. It felt as if the whole cart was going to fly off the wheel! My brother and I rode it only once. I was terrified!

Disney Wonder Cruise. I love all things Disney and a Disney Cruise would be the ultimate Dream vacation for me

Wonder Bread....I can't remember a time I had bread this white

Wonder Woman
When I was young I loved this show and I wanted to be this super hero so badly...In fact my friends and I would throw erasers at each other and blocked them with our "golden power wrist cuffs". You know what's kind of sad? If that show were around today They would be referring to Linda Carter as fat....

Stevie Wonder~I loved his music...My favorite? Well It's was my Dad's favorite " I just called to say I love you". At My wedding I danced with my Mom and Brothers to this song. Whenever I hear It I think of Dad.

Now the real challenge is thinking of Friday's art post that Includes the letter "X" yikes!
Love Stevie Wonder and you would never have gotten me on that ferris wheel.
ReplyDeleteI don't like ferris wheels or roller coasters. lol
ReplyDeleteI like the video though!!
That was always one of my favorite songs. Ferris wheels always seem so harmless, until you get on them!
ReplyDeleteThat Wonder Wheel is my worst nightmare. I see why it is named that, because I WONDER why anyone would ride it. You had Wonder Woman, I had The Bionic Woman! Guess she wasn't so bionic, as she now has back problems and is advertising Sleep Number beds.
ReplyDeleteWonderful W's....
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you do with X. I'm sure it will be Xactly right.
When I was a kid I loooooved the ferris wheel at the county fair. When I hit my teens and older I got motion sickness whenever I rode one. No more ferris wheels for me after that!
ReplyDeleteI used to watch Wonder Woman all the time too as a kid.
Great post!
Joanne, I love all of your Wonder Words! I am afraid of Ferris Wheels now also. Loved them when I was little. I too wanted to be Wonder Woman. What a super hero she was. So much of this reminds me of my childhood. Thanks for a fun post!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
jann
Wonder bread! Used to love that as a kid. Do they even make it anymore? Love Stevie too. Thanks for the memories. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the Ferris Wheel thing. I was always afraid of getting stuck at the top. "Overjoyed" is one of my favorite Stevie Wonder songs:)
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a ferris wheel like that and wouldn't want to enter it. Don't think I ever ate wonder bread (good) but did like silvercup brand. Big rye bread fan as a child.
ReplyDeleteI still remember "fingertips" in the '60's, he was vert talented.
I loved Ferris wheels until I hit 10, and then fear awoke in me. Just the feeling of the around and around...maybe I had a motion thing, not just the heights.
ReplyDeletemy mom would agree with you on the Disney cruise statement
ReplyDeleteThat wonder wheel is so scary I wonder why any one would ride it on purpose..
ReplyDeleteI've been on a Ferris Wheel like that and I was almost on the floor - my family laughed. As a five year old I rode a ferris wheel with an older cousin, and when the ride finished we couldn't find our parents. The ride operator let us ride again for free . . . but I was just terrified that I had lost my parents . . .so from that experience I became terrified of ferris wheels - and I love roller coasters of all kinds, just not ferris wheels - even though it's an unreasonable fear now, and I know it. (my parents were there the second time we got off, and stated they had just been a few feet away and thought we got on again for more fun)
