Artsy Fartsy Friday~~~Quilt Art

Welcome To Artsy Fartsy Friday and for those who are new to this blog welcome and thank you for following!

So this week it's all about Sleep and I bet you thought that Friday's art would not follow the theme but hooray! I found something that fits in with the theme perfectly....Quilt Art! Now who doesn't love to sleep under a nice comfy quilt?! I have always been fascinated by quilts and the people who make them. Their creations are truly pieces of art and are made with such love!

I found this video of a quilt show but the real star is the lady who is singing the song ( her name is Cathy Miller) and they call her the "Singing Quilter".  She makes me want to quilt and I don't know how! I hope you enjoy this week's art

  1. I have never made a quilt! I love the teapot one, and the video is very cool, even quilted jackets, and most of the quilts are reversible. My favorite may be the panda one.

  3. Hello Dear Joanne, I just wanted to thank you so much for visiting my blog and for your lovely comment! I am indeed resting and recovering well - just frustrated at how long it's taking, but I know it's all in the Lord's hands :-). You have a lovely blog, and I shall very much enjoy my visits with you! God bless, and thanks again, Brenda

  4. I love sleeping under a quilt. When the small local WalMart closed they had a $60.00 quilt on sale for $20.00, we bought it. I like the teapot one you have here.

  9. Wow those are so cool! I made a quilt last year for my boss with a LOT of help from a friend. I didn't think it would be as hard or as much time as it was to make it. It was beautiful and I loved it and so did my boss but man not sure I'd do another one ... lol

  12. Awesome! I love to quilt, collect quilts, touch quilts, and visit quilt fabric stores. One of my biggest disappointments was when we went to Branson, MO, and went to one of many quilt stores. "Real Branson Designs"...made in China.

  15. Hi Joanne,
I must confess, I am an addicted quilter. I have so many quilts, Too many some might say. I don't quilt them myself, I just piece them. Warning, don't start unless you want to become an addict. It has done it to everyone I know. Actually, I am slowing down a little. Love the song! Yes, done is much better than perfect.
