Too Much Homework

Greetings workshop

We went out to celebrate my daughters birthday. We went to her favorite Italian restaurant where the huge dish portions hardly fit the table for four.  Now I'm afraid I'm suffering from a pasta  induced tiredness that is creeping and making everything on the screeen bluuuuurrrrrryyyyyyy........ZzzzzzZZZZZzzzzZZZZZzzzzzZZZZZzzzzZZZZZzzzzZZZZ

Oh good you guys are still here, thought I'd lose you during my rigatoni coma break. I definitely went over my caloric intake for the day. Anyways.....On Sunday, after a week home (the kids were off for President's day and week) My Son at the hour of 7pm tells me he has to finish his Homework.

"What do you mean you have to finish Homework? I thought it was all done?"

"I forgot one." he hands me a huge packet that he was supposed to research and fill out.

"Now where was this?" I flip through the packet.

"In my folder. I guess I missed it."   I looked incredulously at my son because I just couldn't believe he could miss this huge thing.

"You must have looked through this folder a thousand times this week and you missed it?" Now I am totally taking the blame on this one, I should have looked in his folder myself.

"Well maybe I can hand it in another time."

"Oh no sir; you will do this now."

cue the stomping of the feet as he angrily goes up the stairs...

                                                STOMP!... STOMP!... STOMP!

A few minutes later he comes down with a loose leaf paper.

"Mom do you have an envelope?"

"What for?"

"For this letter."

"A letter? for who?"

"The President."

"What?"

"Its about all the homework I get. I'm writing that I don't think it's fair and I'm asking if he could do something about it."  I looked at him very interested in what he had to say. He told me since his sister had started a petition then he could start one too.

"That's fair, you can do that. You are an American and you have that right to write the President." He smiled and folded his letter neatly. "But you realize you STILL have to do that assignment." My son turns around and...

                                               STOMP!.... STOMP!.... STOMP!

I turn around and spend the next ten minutes or so laughing
