Recently I was talking with my sister-in-law.
while I was straightening up the kitchen; She was sharing how she feels she struggles with organization.
I was like
source "What did you just say?"
OK, to give you an idea; I feel my sister-in-law is the most organized person I know.
Her home looks like this ( not really hers looks more homey)

While my idea of organized on any given day may look like this

So when she said that, I was a bit shocked. After a few laughs I realized yet again.....
She and I are very different.
She likes things quiet
source
while I tend to like a bit of noise

when she walks into a room...she makes friends with everyone right away.

We do share alot in common
We share our love for our kids and Husbands...we have proven to each other time and time again that we are there for each other in good times and bad...really bad times. And we laugh...alot.
We can talk endlessly about our faith. And I always come away feeling great.
I know she has taught me alot and has influenced me in great ways... and I hope I have done the same for her with my sense of humor and beatnik rebellious nature.
So even though she is more

and I'm more

I'm grateful we have each other.
There is nothing in the world to compare with family. They give us unconditional love and they expect it in return.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've got a winning sis-in-law. I know the feeling. I'm also more of a rebel, while mine sis-in-law's more sophisticated.
ReplyDeleteJoanne, I always love the clips/graphics you use for your posts. They're very fun.
Blessings to you.

Love the little rodent - I feel like that A LOT! Isn't it great that even being so different, you still have so much in common! Great post.
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne, it's Lisa, your sister-in-law. :)
ReplyDeleteYour blog was definitely my kiss from God today. It made me laugh (your pictures are hysterical, especially the hamster; and Minnie falling off the dance floor). It made me cry thinking about the things we've supported each other through over the years. Most of all, it made me thankful to have you in my life. You've certainly taught me to laugh more, enjoy the moment and lighten up. I always enjoy our time together and our talks about God. I love you, Lisa
Perhaps you have each rubbed off on each other a bit, not a bad thing!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed this post very much, the visuals were humourous.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the best posts ever. If I were giving you a grade for a short, illustrated, compare/contrast essay, you would get an A+ in every category. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you have each other.
