I have read and been told that after forty we shouldn't wear these
or these
and especially not these low rise jeans
We should not try to do Runway modeling
or become Chippendale dancers ( how cute are these guys!)
and we should lay off the spicy food
and sports should be played with caution
But I am not yet ready to give this up
My friends and I go away for a girls weekend every year. This year we have decided to do something fun. We will be going to Virginia. We will see some historical sites and visit Bush Gardens... and we will act like silly school girls!
Amusement parks always make me feel
And you're never too old for that
as much as I hate roller coasters, I wish you an amazing time. And you are never to old to do the things that make you smile
ReplyDeleteI love riding big rides, too. We are nearest "King's Island" and used to go as a kid. Have fun!!
ReplyDeleteGreat post, very comical. Definitely never too old for the rollercoaster. Have a great weekend in Virginia. Diane
ReplyDeleteOh, you'll have so much fun! And being in your 40s is the time to kick up your heels...and have fun! They need to change that age to after 80! lol I still love to be myself....and ride roller coasters! And I plan to do that until I'm over 80 or 90 maybe! heehee! ♥
ReplyDeleteHave fun! Break the rules! Life is too short...Thanks for the fashion tips although I already heed most of them. Don't you wish everybody did? lol
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!!! Enjoy life to the fullest - it's too short, and 40 is just a number!
ReplyDeleteThe last time I rode a roller coaster was at Six Flags in St Louis when my kids were still in high school. I was petrified.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have lots of fun though. :-)
Hope you have lots of fun! I love those guys dancing! Wonder if they're celebrating because they all managed to get away from their wives for awhile? I have played the falling model more than once!
ReplyDelete@ Mynx~ Thanks! You only live once right?
ReplyDelete@ Ma~ I haven't gone on a roller coaster in three years and even that onec wasn't big. I hope I don't chicken out!
@ Diane~ Thank You!
@ ~Lavender Dreamer~ I agree! Lets make it 100!

@ Beth~ Awww... which one did you ride? Roller coaster look awfully scarey now!
@ Ginny~ You just made me laugh hard!!! I never even thought of that! yes they do look like their are celebrating being away from the wives!!!LOL!
That is so funny, you should never have to give up anything you are not ready to give up.
ReplyDeleteI say, "you are only as old as you feel". Darn, some mornings I feel a bit old. I just keep this over 50 body a movin. I hope I am never too old to have fun. Trip'n with friends is a blast! I love Virginia. Three years ago my hubby and I went there and took in a bunch of the historical sites. Williamsburg was one of my favorites. On a little country road in Virginia I ran across my red dish collection. I love it and have it displayed in a cabinet in my living room. Have a fun trip.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you are doing this. Have a wonderful time. Ride the roller coaster, eat ice cream, laugh, and be grateful for girl friends and time with them.
ReplyDeleteI don't like roller coasters, but if you do, I say great. The runaway model and the bowler were hilarious.
ReplyDeleteThank You.
i say enjoy life you are never to old to have fun as someone once stated "you don't stop having fun because your old or get old when you stop having fun"
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post. I giggled with each inch scrolled! I hope you have a wonderful time at your getaway! Elizabeth
ReplyDelete@ Toyin O.~ You are right about that!
