So which one is it? Did you choose your ring before you got it? Or was the style a complete surprise?
As Mennonites 40 years ago, our women weren't allowed to wear jewelry or wedding rings. Not the case NOW! Anyway, the bride-to-be got an engagement watch because it had a functional purpose and was not all about being flashy. So I got the watch, and after the wedding service, we each put rings on in private, only to take them off at certain times!
