Recently my Husband and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary.
I knew Hubby would come home with flowers in hand.
Earlier that day when my Son found out it was a special day that day....he went out to the back yard and brought me back a dandelion. Did I tell him it was a weed? Absolutely not. He gave it with such love that I put it in a glass of water. With his eyes filled with pride he ran off to play. When My husband came home he indeed had flowers for me and they were beautiful, but they were out-shined just a tad by the little yellow flower in a tiny glass jar.
Saturday's question is a simple one today....Since tomorrow is Mother's day....Which flowers are your favorites to receive?
Pink Roses?
Gardenia ?
Orchid?

ReplyDeletethe little tiny yellow one given in love by a child
ReplyDeleteMy favorite are the last ones, wildflowers. I love them and told Phil that's what I want at my funeral. And I especially love dandelions, even when they go to seed. I love to see their cheery yellow faces dotting the yard in the spring. That peony picture is lovely, but calla lilies creep me out. They are strange and remind me of death. Hey, I just saw Gladys Kravitz here, so I had to check out your blast from the past on busybodies, I got such a kick out of it!! Who knew there were so many kinds? Remember Gladys on Bewitched? She was the only character I liked and that's why I watched the show. ABNER!! And whenever poor Abner came, there was nothing. Hope you have an awesome Mother's Day, Joanne!
ReplyDeleteI love violets, picked by little tiny fingers. What wonderful memories.
