Fashion Wednesday~~~ The Uniform Project- Amazing Story of One Woman's Desire to Raise Money for Children in India

Its fashion Wednesday and it seems the blog this week is keeping me in the theme of saving money. I found an awesome site and video. It's not exactly about saving money, but raising money. (although you can take this idea and save a whole lot of moola by being creative with one little black dress).... I love the story of an idea that enabled children to go to school!

                                        http://www.theuniformproject.com/

"Uniform Project was born in May 2009, when one girl pledged to wear a Little Black Dress for 365 days as an exercise in sustainable fashion. Designed to also be a fundraiser for the education of underprivileged children in India, the project acquired millions of visitors worldwide and raised over $100k for the cause."  quoted  from the web site.

It all started with a little black dress and the Dream of a young woman to raise money...

She had her friend design the dress and make duplicates "so she wouldn't be smelly."

I think this is AMAZING!!!

I hope you enjoyed the video as much as I did! Blessings, Joanne

PS Loved your dating scenario in my blog comments. I'm still laughing. And, yeah, I'm sure he's still waiting there (with his lace panties).
