My Wedding

I was working two jobs and taking classes.

Hubby was working two jobs too.

We had postponed the wedding once because of finances.

We  finally found a venue that we could afford and we were working hard to get everything done for the wedding.

I was making the favors and centerpieces

Things were coming together well.......until...

I had to beg one of my bridesmaids NOT to have a male stripper at my shower. Up until the end of the shower I was on pins and needles scared that she would have hired one. My Mom and Mother-in-law would have keeled over!

My veil was supposed to be three yards long. The lady who took the order made the "3" look like a "5"...you got it...It was 15 feet long! As I stood at the alter the end of it would have still been in the limo! I had to cut tulle the night before and glue pearls onto it to make it look OK.

The night before the wedding was the rehearsal dinner and my own Father and Mother-in-law never showed up

The simple hairstyle that I wanted for the bridesmaids was over shadowed by one of the girl's Marge Simpson hair do. Seriously she had to tilt her head in the limo because the do was so high.

My flowers were all wrong. Wrong flowers wrong colors. They completely fell apart. By the end of the wedding it looked like a pitiful wilted nosegay.

The kind photographer that we hired became a total Scorsese nutcase at the wedding and reception.

and finally... we left the next day for our Honeymoon and I forgot one bag...the one with all my brand new shoes! Hence we had our first tiff before the honeymoon.

When we got to the resort in Jamaica we had to go off to buy shoes for me to wear because all I had were the high heels I was wearing. It was slim pickin's at the shopette.  I lived the rest of the week in white keds skippys and some hideous sandals.

                                   these would have been better
                                          than what I wore

I felt like a total idiot......until I met another new bride at the resort and she told me she forgot all her Bras!!!

all the things that went wrong were minor. Everyone had a wonderful time and I loved my wedding...and you know what? I wouldn't change a thing!
